Yesterday Rue Morgue brought a wonderful project to light. Although we will have a Blood Bankfeature on this later, we feel this is so important we have to tell you now. This Kickstarter campaign is for the first ever “non-profit educational museum” in all things gore, guts, monsters, and overall horror.
The Hollywood Horror Museum has some of the biggest names in the genre backing it such as Hellraiser‘s Clive Barker, The Howling‘s Joe Dante, and Masters of Horror producer and writer Mick Garris among many others.
The purpose of this Kickstarter is to raise the initial funds to develop The Hollywood Horror Museum, to obtain a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational status in California and present our first Walk Through Exhibit at Stan Lee’s Comikaze in Los Angeles Oct 30-Nov 1.
By mid 2016, we plan to take our Hollywood Horror Museum on a worldwide tour, until we have the money to create a permanent location in North Hollywood California in 2018. From all the pictures, it seems as if they would like a castle for their permanent location. We Are Indie Horror is based out of North Hollywood and we aren’t going to lie but we would love a castle down the street from us, especially one filled with all things horror.
