Australian horror does not seem to disappoint. A few prime examples include Wolf Creek, The TunnelThe Loved Ones, and even slasher classic Saw all came from the land down under. Today we bring you a teaser for one of the latest additions to Aussie Horror called Scare Campaign.

Scare Campaign is directed and written by the brother team of Cameron Cairnes and  Colin CairnesThe two siblings are no stranger to horror. Back in 2013 they had a successful run with their horror comedy 100 Bloody Acres. Their latest Scare Campaign stars Olivia DeJonge (The Visit)  Meegan Warner (AMC’s Turn), Ian Meadows (The Moody’s, HBO’s The Pacific), and Josh Quong Tart (Underbelly). Check out the teaser right below. Although it is 15 seconds; it is certainly worth checking out.

Having it’s world premiere on Thursday at Australia Monster Fest, Scare Campaign has already sold out. In response, they have added TICKETS for a second. Cast and crew will be on hand to answer your questions and the ticket does get you into their after party. The synopsis is as follows:

Popular TV prank show, Scare Campaign, has been entertaining audiences for the last five years with its mix of old school scares and hidden camera fun. But as we enter a new age of online TV, the producers find themselves up against a new hard-edged web series which makes their show look decidedly quaint. It’s time to up the ante, but will the team go too far this time, and are they about to prank the wrong guy?”

In today’s world utilizing technology and the ever growing popularity of reality television is a great idea. With shows in the United States like Hellevator it is truly a matter of time before someone takes it too far. Producers and networks are constantly trying to out do their competition, so we would not be surprised if something like this actually happens.

None the less between the intriguing teaser and the tantalizing plot, this seems like a great addition the Aussie horror lineup and here at We Are Indie Horror we cannot wait to see it. Be sure to stay tuned for any updates on this film and when the rest of the world will be able to see it.
