Island Zero Trailer Premiere Courtesy of Fun Size Horror

The past few years have seen an influx in horror shorts hit the web. Thanks to Fun Size Horror many have received recognition and a place to showcase. Based around the idea of community, as We Are Indie Horror is, Fun Size Horror is branching out and beginning to showcase more of the community. Recently they have brought the exclusive trailer for a feature film, Island Zero.

Island Zero tells the following story:

Inhabitants of a fishing island off the coast of Maine find themselves mysteriously cut off from the outside world after the ferry suddenly stops coming. All the phones have gone dead and every boat sent to the mainland fails to return. When dead bodies turn up along the water’s edge, the hardy band of survivors must find out who, or what, is killing them.

It is written by best-selling author Tess Gerritsen (Rizzoli & Isles) who teamed up with her son, Josh Gerritsen, who is making his feature directorial debut. Shot on location in Maine, Island Zero utilized local crew, talent, and artists to complete the project. Producer Mariah Klapatch is a Maine native who now resides in Los Angeles. The film is inspired by classics such as Them or The Thing with an overall thematic element of monsters and isolation.
